Master’s Dissertation

One of my most recent writing examples comes from Summer 2022, where I wrote my master’s dissertation about the gentrification of queer creatives in the media as exhibited at the 2019 Met Gala and Exhibition.

To this day this is my most researched writing piece, with dozens of books, websites, articles and documentaries referenced as well as primary research including visiting the exhibition and talking to Queer creatives themselves.

Press Releases

This Press Release, created for Water Wizz Water Park for Summer 2023, was one of the many Press Releases I was tasked to research, write, design, and distribute to news sources.

Published Internship Articles

As part of my internship at the news radio station FUN 107 located in Fairhaven, MA, I published a series of articles for different sponsors of the news station. This gave me great experience writing concisely to a prompt given from paid company sponsors. I also got the opportunity to produce and edit interview videos of various celebrities.

2019-2020

I was chosen to be the Sports Editor of the LIU Brooklyn newspaper, Seawanhaka, my senior year of my undergraduate degree. I took on this responsibility on top of the 6-7 courses I took each semester, while also training with my D1 swim team twice a day and working part time.

Undergraduate Blog

As part of my journalism undergraduate degree I published a blog for various assignments and as a place to keep my writing. I cover a range of topics and prompts within this blog, as well as getting a feel for online formatting and coding.

Recent Events Article

I published this piece on Medium in late March of 2022. It is about a topic that both has been spreading across social media at record speeds, as well as a topic I am extremely informed on, being a high-level swimmer myself. This article focuses on Transphobia and the sport of swimming, specifically around the case of Lia Thomas. I hope this article both helps stop the spread of misinformation as well as helps others be more understanding of each other.
